You send me a photo, or tell me what you want, and I will create your very own bespoke painting! I paint in gouache on 4x4 inch blocks. Gouache is an opaque watercolour. The blocks are 1 inch in depth so stand easily on their own, Or you could attach them to the wall using velcro strips or even pop them in a floating frame. Perfect for gifts!
Landscapes, flowers, buildings, animals, pets, favourite foods - the decision is yours. The only thing I do not do here is people portraits (I do pets!) although I am happy including people as part of the overall image. If you're not sure, just send me a message with your image first! If it's something a little more complex or if I need to source images/objects myself I may need to charge a little bit more.
Please make sure your photos are as high quality as possible and taken in the best light - especially if it's a pet portrait! We will work together with the image to make sure you are happy with the final edit/crop before I begin the painting.
Please note these are a more affordable option than my other pet portraits, completed on paper and in a much larger format with more detail. I do aim to get just as good a likeness though!
How to order?
1. Purchase the item here.
2. Email me your photo at juliatooleyart@gmail.com or tell me what you would like in the image. I will advise on composition and crop but I will not start the painting until we are both happy. Note: if I have to source items/photos myself I may have to charge slightly more for the final painting. If you are unhappy in any way during this stage, I will refund you before starting the painting.
3. Then allow 1-2 weeks for me to complete the painting - I will send you a photo of the painting for your approval before applying the finish. Please note however, that I will be unable to make substantial amends at this point in the process. I will then finish the block with a gloss spray varnish to protect it.
4. Once the finish is dry, your painting will be shipped using Royal Mail 48 hour tracked delivery
